Background & History

Ariel Primary School is an Independent Primary School and is a member of the ATS (Association of Trust Schools). The Head for the past 16 years has been and still is Miss Judith Bates, who is a member of CHISZ (Conference of Heads of Independent Schools in Zimbabwe).

The Grade 7 Zimsec results have been consistent over the years achieving a 100% pass rate. The pupils at Grade 7 level have also achieved excellent results consistently in the CHISZ Computers and CHISZ Shona exams.

The pupils take part in N.I.A.A (National Institute of Allied Arts) festivals, EPSA (Educationists in Primary Sports Association) festivals and many other such events.
The pupils are encouraged to lead an active life and sports such as hockey, tennis, soccer, athletics, swimming, cross country and cricket are all on offer with children regularly being chosen to represent at provincial level.

The school is situated in a rural, country-side setting just 34 km from Harare.
